remember

-always cut toe nails before trekking.
-climb down is not always simpler than climbing up.
-u ain't there untill u are there...
-there is only one way to find out if u can do it...
-its all in the mind!
-you dont know what you are missing unless you've seen it.
-false summits make reaching the summit the most satisfying feeling.
-self is the toughest one to convince, if i can take the fact that i've given up, its not me!
-you dont the magic of the smaller half steps.
-WATER: the best thing on the planet!

this is so true!! I went on a trek+camp trip a few weeks ago to a place near nainital and I agree all of what you say is the big-truth.

The only other thing i can think of is that the same trek looks a 100 times easier under moonlight than it does in full-blown sunlight where u know what each sinister looking stone could potentially do.
The less you see, the less you fear.

I also have supreme respect for the children of such places who can skip thruogh the steep slopes like they were skipping on the street!!

I wish I was a slope-child, instead of a plain-child.
