new year!

the footwear i was wearing made my feet hurt!
sat down on the window sill,
the crowd and noise made me instinctively turn my head away,drew the curtains little and glanced outside.

inside people partied hard celebrating the new year and out were people selling cigarettes and driving rickshaws

in:was dark it was the dance floor
out:it was dark, the night with only the street lights.

in:people who paid 8000 to be in there just for new year's eve
out: people who'd not earn this much even in 2 months

in:people dressed in their best, maybe one of the several tens or hundreds.
out:people who thought they were lucky to have clothes on

in:who'd say no to the waiters with trays full of food cause they'd had enuf.
out: who'd never had food enough.

in:who had no limit on their drinks a lot of choice to add to it.
out: who probably have to fight even for their day's share of water.

in: who were away from family cause its time to party with friends
out: who were away from family cause its time to earn.
